History

Marion S. Brown originally opened Brown’s in 1950 after serving in the US Navy during World War II. He was forced to close quickly when he was called back to duty at the outbreak of the Korean War. After the war Marion ran the refrigeration department for Velda Dairy and then Foremost Dairy. He soon re-opened Brown’s Refrigeration in 1961. Since that time the Business has remained family owned under son Gary Brown and grandson Jake Brown. Gary shifted the company from a small company to what it is today, a company that holds dearly to Marion’s roots with a customer first mindset that we can not succeed unless our customers are successful. Today Brown's Refrigeration looks mindfully to the industry’s future, ready to lead with the technological advances that are critical to a successful modern age refrigeration company.
